Who are The Friends of Fringford School?

FoFs is a registered charity run by a committee of parents and carers which raises funds to enhance the educational and extra-curricular experiences of the children at Fringford School.

In recent years, FoFS has provided reading books, a willow arch and dome for the playing field and a willow fence with gate for the new Forest School area. FoFS also provide annual gifts from Santa and support end of year celebrations. They regularly fully fund or subsidise class and whole school educational visits, such as the whole school Christmas pantomime trip. Sales of pre-loved uniform not only raise money for the school, but also help parents to stock up for less.

FoFS also play an important part in providing fun extra-curricular experiences for the children. In recent years these have included Christmas fayres, the School Summer Fete and running games at the village Beer Festival, Mother’s and Father’s Day shop, Easter Egg Hunts, Discos, Film nights and Cake Sales.

All parents of children at Fringford School are automatically members and support is welcomed at meetings to share ideas and events (running stalls, baking, folding raffle tickets, packing hampers, wrapping gifts). FoFS is a great opportunity to meet other parents and feel part of the school community. We welcome new ideas and faces, you don’t need any particular skills, just come along and join in!
