Kingfisher Class visited Oxford University Museum of Natural History as part of their Darwin’s Delight work this term.
As part of our unit on the Islamic Civilisation, pupils in Kingfisher class studied the history and purpose of cushions. They spent the morning analysing and designing cushions and are now sewing their own.
In Science today, Kingfisher Class made a blood sample! They used milk, oil, food colouring and syrup to represent the different components of blood and discussed the function of each. They thoroughly enjoyed the experiment!
Today, Kingfisher Class started Project 10 by Safeguarding in Partnership. The project is designed to raise awareness and promote the safety and well-being of children and teach young people about their legal rights and responsibilities and risks around crime.
This morning, Kingfisher Class dissected a lamb’s heart and thoroughly enjoyed themselves! The activity was planned to introduce their new topic ‘Blood Heart.’ They have learnt a lot about the appearance, size, and structure of the heart!
