You might find that you breathe faster when you are worried about something. Making a Breathing Buddy to help you take a few big breaths can restore calm. The children in one of our school bubbles did just that. Their Breathing Buddies were decorated to look like animals with streamers at the end so they could see their breath.
To make your own Breathing Buddy at home all you need is a paper cup, safety scissors, items to decorate, glue or sticky tape, coloured pens, tissue or crepe paper and your own imagination! Make sure a grown up helps you with the tricky bits like cutting!
Look Inside is one of the Keys to Happiness we have been learning all about at school. We are discovering that mindfulness and self-calming techniques can help with our learning.
